Happy birthday to Blazing Saddles, the first and last words in "questionable" humour and one of the funniest films ever made (even funnier if you know Destry Rides Again). I can't picture too much modern edgelord comedy aging as well as this has.

I suppose it would be less so for modern sentiments. The sort of racism Mel was parodying is out of fashion. It's either more extreme -- in which case, a parody would not be appreciated -- or people try to deny it exists, in which case, a parody would not be appreciated.
