BinaxNow is the cheapest test out there, but its also the most likely to be wrong, missing about one in seven real infections. Abbott cautions that results should be treated as presumptive and do not rule out SARS-Cov-2.

The article you cite is from last May. We've since experienced both Delta and Omicron variants, which would be important to detect with any test. This review article was published in December 2021.
Abbotts BinaxNOW COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test is an FDA-approved test for viral antigens (proteins) and does not require a prescription. It uses an anterior nasal swab, and results are available at home in approximately 15 minutes. It correctly identifies positive cases 91.7% of the time and correctly identifies negative cases 100% of the time.

They have an expiration date of 7/7/22. Hopefully, they'll go unused...hope yours do too!
