DU is my only online social networking/gathering.

I joined up (w/ another screen name) in the spring of 2002 after #43 was selected and the unspeakable September 11 happened.

Truth be told, can't recall how I found DU. 9/11 really rattled me and there was a wealth of informative commentary, etc. on DU. I get most news items here.

Haven't been socializing in person since the outbreak of the hideous virus and so I have a 'real time' link with others esp. of one mind and accord. It's a real tragedy that we've come to this of great division between ourselves and others. And we Dems are not responsible. 'They' live in my midst. My neighbors, fellow church sisters and brothers, former employees of my departed husband who call on me and show caring and lovingkindness. I need to stay middle of the road with these. Stay even keel. It's difficult bc I have to keep my sometimes outspoken mouth to myself.
