3. Even the older cat seems a bit perplexed.

4. One of my girls many years ago used to growl at snow. Never could understand

why. She had never been out in it.

5. Our cat stood in the doorway and hissed at it.

6. Maybe our kits did this because it was something moving that they could

not play with.

7. Mine goes through a yearly battle with

unreachable snowflakes at the window.

Each winter, the early snowfalls with big flakes hitting the window send her into a flurry of window activity, from one end of the window to the other, swatting them madly.

After a few weeks, she settles down and ignores them.

But the next year, it starts all over again with the first snowfalls. I guess she keeps hoping she can chase them away early, then gives up. Have to admit that I feel the same way. Initially I resist winter, then resign myself to it.
