(32,767 posts)3 way stop where he used to live, one lane has no stop sign. SIL took me to a house to play poker, one of the players was a school superintendent. Out of the blue my SIL asks him, why didn't you stop at that stop sign, you almost crashed into me? He denied it. Then my SIL showed him the video.

I hate them but might be forced to get one.

citizen watch concepts rewards people who comply and also report.
Just because the powers that be dont currently use a technology against us, doesnt mean that a particular current technology will never be used against us by the powers that be.

(40,432 posts)And follow you when you have your cell phone on. Are you willing to give up modern technology to reduce being watched? I've posted many a time that if I truly thought that there was a chance of a fascist takeover, I'd be off the Internet awhile ago. Why make it easy for them to identify me as a possible problem and locate me?

(15,876 posts)and hit me.. They first told the police that they did not see me. Then they said I was speeding . Dash cam showed everything and it was their fault. Made things very clear and avoided the "he said/she said" thing...YMMV... btw I'm a geezer also...😁

Someone from work lets their dog run loose, claiming it's OK because "they live in the country". Last year a delivery truck in the lane next to me hit a stray on a narrow road with nowhere to avoid it. It was awful to see, but I played that video for him as a lesson on why you don't let your dog run loose.
And I've saved some good video from scenic drives.

No accidents, but lots of scenery, trees, grass, and the highway to the north of the trail.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
