15 minutes. Nothing too taxing, and I modify as we go along.....
Also, I don't use bands, as I don't have any, but still move the arms as if I were using bands.
I plan to work up to doing it twice per day....
Sincerely,
A Septuagenarian

(115,658 posts)I've been walking 2+ miles every day regardless of the weather, going at a moderate pace, and taking a slightly different route every day. I get bored silly doing exercise routines indoors so I lose interest quickly and stop doing them. Walking outside gives me a chance to look at the local architecture, see neighbors walking their dogs, get yard and garden ideas, etc., and enjoy the sun if there is any. I've got ice cleats on my boots so I don't slip. If this indoor routine works for you, by all means go for it, since exercise is always a good thing, but you might have more fun outside.

And it's often very windy here.

(115,658 posts)I wear a warm hooded parka and snow pants and keep moving, and I don't get cold. The Norwegians, who are outside all the time, have a saying, "There is no bad weather, only bad clothing," which probably why they always kick ass in the Winter Olympics.

(2,636 posts)Been a tough year--COvid, then my ICD going off six times in five minutes, then lost my balance and did a somersault on my shoulder within three or four weeks.
Lots of disc damage.
Five minutes and I'm gassed, despite all this physical therapy.
I like it. A girl needed a good goal to get ready for golf season.

(50,934 posts)I did this instead.
Lovely! Very enjoyable.

(50,934 posts)I have done a bunch of the series. They are horrifyingly cheerful, so I turn the volume all the way down.
But I love the fact that I can log a mile while watching TV, talking on the phone, listening to a book or podcast. I don't have to look decent enough to go outside (I often do it in pajamas with sleep hair and no makeup) I can just drop in 15 minutes if I am waiting for something.
I'm up to 4-5 miles every day, and it's making a big difference in my energy and in my appearance. I decided to only weigh myself once a month, so I don't know if I have lost weight, but I have definitely lost significant inches.
This is, it turns out, the perfect way for me to get in the exercise I need every day almost without noticing it.
Thank you so much! You have made my life better!
And now you're inspiring me to get back into it....I fell on the ice in February and have had a long course of physical therapy to get my knees back into "working condition."
Time to work off those extra pounds and inches.

(4,986 posts)When I fell, I hyper-extended one knee and the other just kind of smashed into the ground. So, both knees were bothering me, and I had to walk with a walking stick. I got really good physical therapy treatments, and I'm now almost 100%, except I've had to do the gardening, which always puts a strain on things. I'll probably go get some more PT treatments, and then I want to get back to doing the youtube walking routine.
Glad to hear it's working so well for you!

Thank you again for the link to the walk program. It's doing so much for me.
