OK I have to tell you my SHIV story.....I worked with a guy whose last name is Shivers, and he had SHIV on his license plate - I said, dude, your plates, aren't you inviting trouble, you are already driving while black. He asked me what I meant. I said, well, you know, SHIV, that's like.....a home-made prison weapon. IT IS?!?! he asked me, wide-eyed. He had no idea, he was so naive.

Seriously, I can't think of any other reason. I wracked my brain (and at 3:00 am there wasn't a whole lot of wracking going on) and that's all I could come up with.

Seems like a strange thing to post without an explanation for it.
