BBC - why disco should be taken seriously....

I love disco and the era, people of all kinds together dancing in celebration. sure most of the music was derivative and ordinary within its style but the best of it is, dare I say, fabbbbbbbbbbbbbbbulous.

and the clubs I went to played stuff that never got heard by the saturday night fever crowd cuz the gay scene then had its own music

I never really understood the actual, visceral hatred so many people have for it. I understand not caring for it but man, some people get militant about it. Kinda weird, IMO.
