Literally just got the news. He just got shot in the line of duty. Hit me a little hard. Believe it or not I thought I would go before he would.

He was in the army then he joined the police force. I understood their both are dangerous but....


Add: the assailant died of his gunshot wounds. Find myself upset that he can't go to court and be sentenced to jail time.

Apparently the whole family is reaching out to each other to report the news.

He's the first in my generation of the family to die.

Their father and uncles were policemen too.

So it would be a shock to hear of their death on the job.
