(82,383 posts)Always have. One trick I discovered, though it only works for old stuff, or at least not today - but on you tube you can find coverage posted from other countries. Find one in a language you can't understand. That way you can watch/hear the event - and the tone is not as affected and overexcited in other languages.

I think the problem is this - the Olympics are too huge for one network to handle and should be divided up between several. And there should be a 'C-Span' like channel for the olympics where you can watch the olympics live as they happen with the minimal amount of commentators.
