I've started to use reading glasses.

I guess I'm to that age now. I thought I'd dislike the reminder that I'm getting older and succumbing to the frailties of aging.

Truth is: I love my reading glasses. They're great for gesturing with. I get to whip them off dramatically sometimes like a Hollywood actor. And if I'm irritated at someone, I can just lower my reading glasses and glare at them. Fun.

8. I've got two pairs.

One, I keep in the drawer of my desk at work. The other pair is for home use.

In an emergency, I can always pop across the street to Safeway and pick up a new pair there.

One on my desk at home, one in the basket with my car keys, one in my pickup ... and can't find the other right now.

15. I buy 20 at a time at dollar tree or 99Cent

They cost a buck. They work fine and since I sit on them or lose them, I end up buying 20 more within three years.

19. Me, too. I have specific locations around my home that I keep them in.

I also buy different power magnifications, so I may use one pair for regular reading, and have a stronger pair available for fine print.

For a dollar a pair, you can't go wrong.

7. I have astigmatism in both eyes. In the past year I got Rx reading glasses.

Whoah, the difference is stunning from normal reading glasses.

Also don't need as much power correction with the Rx glasses.

The glasses only cost abou $20 with shipping.

They're not particularly stylish, my SO calls them my Clark Kent glasses.

9. Since I had cataract surgery, I can see great and have ditched my wear every waking second glasses.

My near vision isn't great because of dry eyes, so I wear readers, and I do like them since they are so light and I can take them off and see great, just not tiny print.

20. I can read just fine

As long as I can have the book about 6 inches from my eyes. I’ve had computer glasses (for 2 feet or so away) since my 40’s so that doesn’t make me feel old. But now I have driving glasses too which I keep in my car. I guess 2 different pairs of glasses means “old.”
