(17,530 posts)I have read thousands of books, so you would think that, in that process that I would have gotten spelling down, but nooooo. It is not only traditionally hard to spell words, but some rather simple ones too. Without auto correct I would be lost.

Then there are the spelling "rules" like I before E except after C, sometimes, but not always....Us non-believer have problems with rules like that. Then there are the ones who want to control us; You know what I meant, but you quibble with the way I spelled it. (Fascist bastards)
My surname is a good example of multiple options for spelling. There are dozens of ways to spell it, but we all came from the same tree. Now the people who spell it with and E instead of an A don't claim the others.

In Ukrainian and Slovak it's phonetic spelling..da?
