What does This message was self-deleted by its author mean

I had someone respond to me and then this happened to all their posts. I can still see the person, It doesn't look like they are banned?

involved. Some of us self-delete and some of us do an edit but we won't get banned for
that.

Sometimes one might think that what I wrote wasn’t exactly what I meant.

Sometimes one might decide I don’t have time to get in a circular argument with someone who doesn’t agree with me or I them.
