I hope it is just a bump and not that new variant starting to spread in the US.

We are still NOT down to flu type death counts. I expect that would take another month, if we can get there at all.

(7 day moving average ending 4/20 vs. 7 day moving average ending 4/06)

No paywall, No quota

36 states have increasing new case counts over the last 14 days; 14 states declining.

14 day moving average of Covid patients in hospitals trending down, but in the last few days the 7 day average has been moving slightly higher (ICU's still declining)

Deaths still trending down, but both hospitalizations and deaths lag new cases.

People will shrug and assume all is fine, it’s just a cold - until it isn’t and the numbers of deaths start rising again and a new variant appears that is more threatening.

I’m wearing my mask.

I also predict that eventually in future, having had COVID will lead to many future conditions that are serious.

1/3 residents and 1/4 staff tested positive this week. Yeah, I'm pissed too. Have you used the n95 strapless masks, has silicone adhesive around the edges? They don't work with facial hair but others are very comfortable. Niosh approved.

Never heard of the silicon adhesive mask. Sounds like removal might be uncomfortable.

I'm on the Olympic peninsula in nw WA.

The masks are good if you need to wear one for hours on end, not so good for fast on/off like going into a grocery store.
