But when we've got five or six of us out working in the garden, sometimes everyone needs a pokery tool to get the roots from the Canada thistle or dandylions that strayed out of the lawn and into the garden. Hence the crappy tools. I'm still using US Made garden tools from over 20 years ago. I just keep them sharp, but I do have to work on refinishing the handles. They've spent some time living in the elements.

I got two acres. We keep the front acre mowed that the public sees on the highway. We got 312 feet of frontage on a two lane highway.

Those prices are ridiculous. I checked the shopterrain.com link.

BIG LOTS! it is!!! Much cheaper. I have a copper watering can that must be worth a fortune. It has straight sides and is about 14 inches tall.

We have a lot of weeding, watering, trimming, and other such things to keep up with. Sorry though, I can't spare the labor. Maybe rMoney could loan you a few of his servants!

Clearly, you don't expect them to garden using inferior tools, do you?

All of you are clearly just affected by jealousy and engaging in class warfare.

as if the emoticon were needed.

Actually, I've seen some stuff that looks exactly like this at Big Lots for about 2.5% of the price -- little terrariums about $8/$9, tiny tool sets about $5.

I don't mind paying at all for quality, but to just pay $$$ to be trendy or cool or to flaunt your wealth is just stupid -- like the Romneys.

the Williams Sonoma link. They're actually pennies under ten bucks -- it was a typo. So that's not so crazy if you're into that kind of thing- less than a dollar apiece.

You can weed and hoe in your window boxes with anything you can flip pancakes with.

My mixer doubles as a hand help rototiller.
