It looks like they're using uncommon subtractive forms, with "Yes" votes at 43 (L=50 minus VII=7) and "No" votes at 53 (L=50 plus III=3) , for a total of 94 (C=100 minus VI=6) "votes to date".

So, maybe, IVC ( V minus I = 4 then minus C(100)) to give 96. Too much wine when MathusMaxius was giving us that lesson in Ludus Litterarius

I have noticed that younger people don't learn Roman Numerals except for the Super Bowl. Super Bowl L needed lots of explanation.
