For me, it was the days of "Hair Metal."
The 80's.

3. Definitely 1980 to 1989.

I never watched Headbanger's Ball that much, but I remember on Saturday mornings MTV used to play music videos of Aerosmith, Helix, Motley Crue, Skid Row, and White Lion, and Whitesnake just to name a few.

4. Can't decide. I like 3 eras.

Early metal like Sabbath and Deep Purple, new wave British like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, and thrash such as Metallica and Slayer. Sorry, I don’t like hair metal.
