morning. Snow melted off car roofs, trees and roads by afternoon. I chuckled as I heard people whining about the predicted snow on Thursday. ."But it's May!" "It's May in Colorado Springs" I replied.
So thankful for this desperately-needed (and nowhere near enough!) moisture. Now if we could get a repeat next weekend. .

(40,969 posts)Wet, heavy snow. My husband was up twice during the night shaking trees. They said we'd get almost a foot of snow but we didn't get anywhere near that. I'd happily take two feet of snow if that's the only way to get moisture.

year). Many years ago, a friend was coming for a visit in June. Two days before she was due, she called to check on the weather. I told her that it was snowing. She said, shocked, "but it's June!" "June in Colorado Springs", I replied. Had to drive her into Manitou and up the pass to show her the snow. Th Hill Climb was snowed out aa number of times. And when my friend Betty visited the August before she died, my godson was surprised to see all the snow in the foothills.
Hope you and hubby and trees are all okay. Is it snowing by you right now?

(40,969 posts)but everything else came through okay. My lilacs were just starting to bud out, so I'll check them later today & see if they were affected. It's bright & sunny today, just like most of yesterday, & almost all the snow is melted.

(42,289 posts)blueberry bushes are loaded & my garden is all planted and coming up. Woke up this morning and the temp was in the mid forties. I have seen a late frost this time of the year. It was impossible to find garden plants after the late frost too.
