Jinjer Announce First Tour Since War in Ukraine

In case anyone was wondering about the band from Ukraine...

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late February, the Ukrainian band Jinjer have had to put their band on hold to tend to much more pressing issues in their homeland. The group fronted by Tatiana Shmayluk sadly had to drop off of their opening slot on the Knotfest Roadshow and pause all future touring plans, instead putting their efforts into selling charity shirts to help raise humanitarian aid funds to serve their fellow citizens.

However, after several months of pausing the band, Jinjer have announced that they're planning to return to the road early next year by way of a U.K. tour opening for Bullet for My Valentine alongside Atreyu.

Glad to see them getting out there. Jinjer is one of the only bands out there I'm comfortable posting the live versions of their music over the studio releases. Great musicians do it live.

video a while back trying to get someone interested in Prog Metal. That version is, IMO, better the the studio cut.

I just watched a recent live video of them doing "Flight of Icarus". Bruce sounded like he was still in the 80's.

Might be the last time! Who knows! First album I ever got was Number of the Beast when it came out in 1982 and I was 9 years old!

I just started getting into them again after decades from watching a reaction video from an opera singing vocal coach. She’s great actually. Provides good analysis. Charismatic Voice is her YouTube channel.

She drives me insane with her constant pausing and rewinding but I also appreciate her expertise.
