When Jerome Corsi put out his Swift boat book on Kerry, RW talk radio assholes went on the air talking about how bookstores were refusing to sell the book and had their listeners go to stores demanding it. This happened on a Friday.
The problem was the book wasn't actually being released until the next Tuesday and stores could get in trouble for selling it early.
So all these Dittoheads were in over the weekend accusing Borders and Barnes and Noble of being part of a liberal conspiracy because they wouldn't sell a book they legally couldn't sell.
The store I worked at was about a mile from a retirement community, so it was HELL.
