(52,992 posts)For the first two seasons, the engine belonged to Los Angeles County Fire Department and part of their contract stated that a qualified firefighter had to be hired to drive it. The only member of the core cast who changed was the captain, so when the company that made the closed-cab engine gave them one as product placement he kept on driving it.
