Looks like a buzzard, which I'm sure ARE experts in riding thermals.
Great video, cool music. But not my cup of tea.

Also from the wiki, they were using rescue birds that couldn’t be released to the wild and were eventually shut down by the Nepalese government, which seems like a shame.

Very cool to watch.

Never would I ever, terrified of heights.

I also thought that bird looked like a vulture. Other than not having a red head it looked like the turkey vultures I have here on my farm so much that I have a tree named for them. It is old and dead and often will have up to 8 of them roosting and mantling.

Whatever kind of bird that is so clever to let them show you the way.
