He also mentioned Satie - can't recall which work? - as the one piece he can't live without, I believe. Maybe Trois Gymnopedies.

Satie has very sad resonances for me. As my big sister spiraled into mental illness in the late 1960s, she would listen to him.

Batiste is a genius, a treasure, and I love his relationship with Colbert. So full of genuine love.

I hope his wife returns to health.
