I'm ready for the heat wave!!
We got rain, last night, so I don't have to worry about watering the gardens. I mowed the lawn and gave the veg garden some plant food.
I bought strawberries, a watermelon, pineapple, mandarin orange slices, grapes and chicken so I can make a nice, sinful macaroni salad. I have two bottles of 'not from concentrate' lemonade and spare lemons for tarting it up. And I still have 2 pieces of 'indulgence cake' in the freezer, that I bought at Aldi. It's kind of like a block of Black Forest cake. I wish I'd bought 2.
In addition a bottle of pre-mixed margaritas and sparkling water. I like to do a 50/50 mix. Add in a little fresh lime juice and it is a most refreshing beverage.
My only disappointment is that tomorrow's hearings are postponed. I was going to sip on a Mimosa.
All that's left to do is for me to clean off the lounge and lawn chairs and set up my new outdoor table. I got a few books for my b'day so during the hottest part of the day I will sit beneath the branches of the 'Air Conditioned' Maple tree and read while I sip.
