Something that's different than the usual fare, something that's a bit weird but also fun, but nothing that ever "insists upon itself" or takes its weirdness too seriously.
I might suggest as example the 90s Nickelodeon kids comedy "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" or the B-52's hit song "Rock Lobster" as examples.

.I did come across a clip on YouTube where Morty runs into two squirrels plotting world domination. I hadnt laughed so hard in ages.
