The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsMan goes on a first date with a woman and
brings her to a carnival.
As they strolled the midway, the man asked the woman what she would like to do.
Woman replies "Oh! I want to get weighed"!
Man then takes her to one of those "guess your weight" things.
The carnival employee correctly guessed her weight.
The couple continued walking the midway.
Man says "What would you like to do now"?
"I want to get weighed"!
Man is thinking wtf is up with this woman?
He takes her back to the same weighing booth, and the carnival employee once again guesses her correct weight.
The couple continues strolling on the midway.
Man says "You want to go on a ride or something"?
Woman replies "NO! I want to get weighed"!
At this point, the exasperated man says to the woman "Listen. I don't think this is going to work out. Let's just call it a night".
They both sat in silence while he drove her back to her apartment.
The woman enters her apartment and she was immediately greeted by her roommate who asked "Tell me! How was it? How did your date go"?
The woman replied "Wowsy".

(6,871 posts)The woman has a peculiarity of speech in which her L's sound like W's. Substitute an L sound for the W sound at the beginning of "weighed" and "wowsy" and you learn what she really hoped would come of the evening, and how she later described the date.
