(3,476 posts)Many tense moments as we worked the TV rabbit ears trying to bring the station in at least half way clear prior to show time. Only a few people know about Crusader Rabbit (he wasn't on national TV), but he was truly cool and what a role model.

(3,476 posts)I'm not sure how old I was. It was probably late 40s and early 50s. We had to get the show out of Toledo Ohio which was out of our regular viewing area, but if we tweaked the rabbit ears just right on the TV we could see what was happening. Even with the poor picture quality it one of our favorite shows.

Once she did her Rocket J. Squirrel voice for me (to my obvious delight). She also did Natasha (of Boris and Natasha), Nell Fenwick, and a much of others.

But I credit Jiminy Cricket for getting me through childhood without doing something too foolish or reckless. Still remember his song.
"I'm no fool, no siree
I'm going to live to be a hundred and three
I play safe for you and me
'Cause I'm no fool."
