I signed up for a NYT subscription when they had a special, $4 every 4 weeks, but that's only through September 20. When it goes to $17 a month, I probably won't renew.

21. f you don't renew, they usually will reach out to you again with the special rate.

Maybe not right away, but in a month or 2. Washington Post does the same thing.

I used to do the NYT, WP and the Boston Globe. But now I just do the WP. even at 4 bucks every 4 weeks, that was $12. Not bad, but really wasn't reading them, so kind of a waste.

22. Yeah, I only read 3 articles in the last month

I have a WP subscription, too, at a special rate, and I see I haven't been there much in the last month, either. But I wouldn't mind keeping both subscriptions at those rates, as at least some small contribution toward maintaining professional journalism. I have a subscription to our local paper, and I throw The Guardian a few USD every once in a while, too.

Usually it takes me to the 4th line, with process of elimination of moving things around and/or random words to harvest good letters/slots.
