Oh Nooo, I've got worms.

Thought it was a tick bite with a kind of, almost bullseye around it.

Went to the doctor and she said it was Ring Worm.

I ask what those little worms look like so I can kill them when I see them. She told me, no it's a fungus, like jock itch..Haven't wore a jock strap in years.

1. I had ringworm years ago. Scared me until I got the diagnosis

Then I remembered having had it as a kid. I think you can catch it from animals. Not a big deal. there’s a salve to put on it

For some reason my doctor is always laughing when I leave her office. She is wonderful. She thinks my jokes are funny.

3. I had it years ago

It was beneath my wristwatch, where conditions are ideal for fungal growth.

She said I most likely got it from the dog.

9. We had it in our cat family years ago.

We were taking care of some tiny kittens for a local rescue, who all had ringworm. We kept them in a dog pen in a closed off room, did all the gloves and washing hands and clothes, etc., and all 9 of our cats ended up with it. The kittens were killed by owls after we had them cured and the rescue put them, unprotected, in a barn. We were stuck with some hefty vet bills for our kitties and it took a while to get them all cured. Our days as rescue helpers are done while we still have our own.

I hope your treatment is quick and successful. It's good that you found out what it is.
