My eldest son has always thought farts were funny. The first time he smiled when he was a baby was when he farted.
So, for his 56th birthday today, I gave him a tee shirt with a photo on it of professional farter Le Pétomane.

Joseph Pujol (1857-1945), better known as Le Pétomane, was a professional farter from France, who headlined at the Moulin Rouge. His stage name combined the French verb péter, "to fart" with mane, meaning "maniac", fartomaniac.

Makes perfect sense the writers would use that name.
