"Chana and Sai Thong grew up together. They are half-sisters. They went everywhere together, until the day that Chana broke her hind leg. Chana was given to the care of Elephant Nature Park, and so, the sisters were separated. Now they are together again, after several years apart. Their friendship and feelings for one another have not faded."

(24,731 posts)1. A couple of circus elephants were together for a few years, then separated for decades. I think
35 years. First one came to a sanctuary, but was a loner. Later the second one was brought in. The first one was ecstatic and the two became a pair. The management was so struck by the change in the first one, they researched their histories and discovered they had in fact been friends once upon a time.

back when they worked in the circus. (And work those circus animals did back in the day: they would raise the tent poles using their brute strength.)
