And Magnus is any Chess Master... he is the top rated international Grand Master in the world with a FIDE rating of 2864

He's a beast!

I love playing the game, was high-school champion 40+ years ago, but wasn't able to play much since, until recently, found some time and opponents

There is a lot of good chess on youtube--look up chessnetwork, agadmator, several others. Also chess.com (They're a great source for chess puzzles if you like those).
