I always start with either adieu and storm, or audio and terms and it's never failed me... But I think I'm going to switch things up a little going forward since the "u" placement is not common so it's almost like a wasted turn.

I am getting a bit annoyed with Wordle and these uncommon words lately. The only reason I got this is because The Witches Of Eastwick by John Updike is one of my favorite books.

21. It's a common word if you've lived or spent time on the South Eastern Coast or lowlands.

Egrets are a common bird in that area of the US.

I have friends who live overseas and never heard of an Egret. Today they were : “wtf is an Egret?”

I looked it up in the dictionary and learned a new word. I view Wordle as a vocabulary expansion opportunity.

26. The only reason I thought of egret before I thought of beret is that I live on the coast.

So I see egrets all the time. Not that I ever get tired of seeing them! Heck, I'm delighted by my backyard sparrows, too.

I was born in Cook County hospital, but our family moved to the east coast when I was four. But we still came back from time to time to visit my grandparents. I can't believe I never knew about this!

I also work in the preservation field, so it's professionally interesting as well.
