Another reminder of what marriage is all about.

My wife was having some minor covid-like symptoms, mild body aches, coughing, etc.

Nothing serious and the aches are probably her arthritis. But, she is going to baby sit the great grandchildrem next week for a few days, so she decided to use one of our tests to make sure.

After enough time passed she looked at the indicator and said: We're negative.

Kudos to your wife for taking the grandkids for a couple of days. But I bet Grandpa will be giving her a big hand. 😊

We met late in life, she had two grown children, I never had biological children because I relied on my looks and personality for birth control.

So here we are 31 years later and I have half dozen or so grandchildren and five great grandchildren and I have never changed a diaper.

Now begins the next chapter. We have been retired for around ten years and live in a nice senior mobile home park, which I expected to be our forever home. However, the kids and grandkids have chased career opportunites that are about 150 miles or so from here.

We really can't afford another home purchase on our retirement income, so my grandson is looking into putting a small manufactured home on his five acre property and renting it to us for a price we can afford. That's where the wife is going to baby sit next week. She does it every other week in the summers, alternating with a grandma on his wife's side of the family.

We are comfortable but we don't have a lot of money. The way I see it we invested money in our most valuable asset. Our kids and grandkids. And now it is paying off. I hope we both live a long time to enjoy the return on our investment.
