My blacksmith just had to go through the whole series of rabies shots because he was driving down the interstate at 70 mph, and a bat flew in the window and splatted on his face. I kid you not.

Rabies is almost always fatal when untreated, but treatment is almost 100% effective.

And a horrible way to die.
