About Carol: She died last night. I'm not sure how or of what. I learned of her passing on FB from

her little sister. I first met her at her kid brother’s home who had invited me for dinner. I was 12 or 13. She around 17 or 18. She was dressed for a date in a red sleeveless dress with a high collar. Her hair was jet black and she had eyes the color of blue sapphire. Her skin was white alabaster. I was smitten.

At some point, for whatever reason, we were all measuring our height against one and another. She said “Come on Floyd, back to back or belly to belly?” I damn near fainted.

Her dad admonished her and ended the contest.

I rarely saw her after that as she went off to university and married. Her husband died a few years ago from cancer.

R.I.P. Carol.

She sounds like she was full of life. that is a funny story of growing up and the people that made an impression, in an instant. My heartfelt condolences
