Actually don't mind them, it's their slightly bigger cousins that give me they willies.
Well, and spiders...kind of an arachnophobe. Mrs. Max usually has to take care of those. This time of years it's Zipper and Orb spider season. My bride keeps telling me they are harmless and "pretty". I think she just wants me to do the yard work.
BTW - It was a "Waterbug", which I understand is suburban for cockroach. I call them School Bus Roaches.

(14,189 posts)2. Of course it is gone,...
The bugs family and friends came by to retrieve the carcass. Had an elaborate funeral procession and then gave it a dignified and respectful burial.
It is most likely buried out in your back yard. Look for a little teeny tiny granite grave marker or headstone in some low traffic and obscure area of your backyard. It might be somewhat difficult to locate this burial area unless the bugs constructed an elaborate mausoleum at the burial spot. In which case it will be much easier to find.

They wouldnt have had the funeral yet. Might still be at the morgue for a manner of death inquiry.

at determining whether squished underfoot is the cause of death.
