(6,255 posts)but, in spite of that, my eighth-grade nun used to say my writing looked like someone dipped a chicken in ink and let it scrawl around on the page.
If I wrote my posts in cursive here, they'd probably have to be sent to a drugstore to get deciphered.

I'd have to take a kneaded eraser, and clean my hand, the areas that were supposed to be white in the drawing.
And try being forced to take Calligraphy in
Art College! I love Calligraphy BUT being forced to take it?!

Art College! I love Calligraphy BUT being forced to take it?! It was rather a struggle at times.
But I still want to try ?Coke Can Calligraphy. You take a coke can an cut it in a way to make a pen nib..
So you can make these bigger letters, and decorative
swishes, curls etc. It's really cool!

If I wrote my replies in cursive, I would be more popular, because people couldn't decipher it.

(21,904 posts)I took some calligraphy classes too. It's very meditative.... concentrating on each letter, each word.
That's why I think it's good for kids to learn..... they really have to concentrate.

(7,833 posts)That's like the ones we started school with in the late '40's. And the teacher would come around with a gallon jug of ink early in the day and put ink in all the inkwells. So I learned cursive, and later on I learned to type, and now I can say the wrong thing in any technology you want!
