People on DU will tell you that all that high-occupancy housing will make its residents insane and give them diseases through the air vents, and living in them is worse than living in a shopping cart.
OK... I'll make myself get over it and stop. But it DID piss me off.

(131,203 posts)9. Norway doesn't have a lot of horizontal real estate.
The large cities are all on shorelines where there is a little flat land, but the country is so mountainous that there's little room to spread out enough to enable everyone to have a single-family house with a yard. Norway is a very wealthy country but they're stuck with their difficult geography.
