So we can figure that at least the pup is okay and has a good home. Though I also wondered when and if his owner was released. But I didn't see an update, either.

She curled up behind me in the hospital bed since she was sooooooo glad to be with me and could finally relax after being with my parents. The nurses and doctors didn't even notice her at first since she was so tiny (7 pounds). Hospitals are very cool with allowing dogs in to the patients' rooms. They know that a few moments with your dog is the best medicine they could ever hope to provide.

I knew how attached she was to me whenever she was left with my family. Once when I went to Amsterdam for a few weeks she was so pissed off that I had abandoned her she was super mad at me. When I went to pick her up from my parents' she snapped at me!!! That is how mad she was (and only 1 1/2 years old but she knew she was alone and it terrified her).... she knew. My parents and their home was loving but she was so extremely effected since she was a very sensitive souI and she naturaaly felt her anger and pain at being abandoned. Chihuahuas are very loyal to their alpha mommy and my puppy was super attached.

I know for a fact that if I had died before she did it would kill her before her natural time to die. I am feeling that loss and grief 1,000,000%. now that she has been gone for 2 years but I am still here, despite what my doctors told me 6 years ago. I want to be with my little girl and can't wait to join her when I go "home". I have had dogs in my family my entire life, I have fostered and rescued them and I KNOW DOGS! My last puppy is waiting for me and my dad it taking care of her until I join them..I have had many experiences and believe this to be very true.

If you ask an older patient who is about to die, they often see their dogs from when they were kids with their puppies all happy and waiting to greet them on the other side. Hospice workers know how common this is.

and thank you for not saying I am crazy. Too many people take that stand, especially if they have never experineced it first person, as I have several times with both of my dogs and their lives/deaths.

They certainly help by just being there with kisses and love...that IS immeasurable. Health care workers know this but have a hard time of trying to explain it. They know!
