Dammit, Smothers Brothers cancel tour.

I had tix.

The reason given is Covid concerns but I looked at the venue I was going to and other venues and the ticket sales was very soft, lots and lots of empty seats.

Bummer, so I suspect that is the real reason.

For the fun of it I looked at Elton John and Ringo Starr tickets and each are practically sold out in huge venues. Nice to know the real rocknroll is still alive and well!

a couple days ago. Wondered how they are doing. I loved them when I was young, and was glad to find some of their routines on You Tube. I played 1 or 2 for my grandkids and they laughed

I saw Elton recently in Nashville. I waiting until the last min, literally an hour before the show, and got a great deal on tickets via either StubHub or Vivid Seats. I can't remember which one I used, but I do that frequently here in the Nashville area for big concerts and when it works it works great. Also, Elton was phenomenal and he put on an absolute spectacle!

I damaged them playing rock n roll as a drummer but also from too much tylenol.

I would love to go though.

I saw them in 1991 and it remains one of my favorite events. I am sorry they had to cancel. I hope you get reimbursed or perhaps they will do it once things calm down again.

to see this one.

I saw John Cleese do one of these Q&A with film last year and it was dreadful, he was not in a very good mood and did not put any effort into it.

Hopefully they will start up again and get a date where you were going to see them.

I am really sorry about John Cleese. We saw him on his book tour and it was really great. I think he probably put more effort into it since he was selling books. Brian Cranston did a wonderful stage show for his book. It is odd for those shows to be bad. The only really bad concert I saw was Bob Dylan. He was with Paul Simon and it was outdoors. The crowd was noisy and it was hard to hear but Dylan sang for 20 minutes before we could even figure out what he was singing. He may have been sick and it was outdoors and really hot but lordy it was like a game show in the back seats as we all tried to figure out what he was singing. Still cool to have seen him.

If you get a chance and Ringo recovers that show that he does with all those other musicians is really really fun.

now that Dick has revealed Tommy was stoned most of the time when they did them.

It was a great show. They had a great cast of regulars. I met Pat Paulsen in the 90s. Real nice guy.

..they were ranting about how George Wallace carried Rhode Island in 196whatever..and how Rhode Island is the smallest state yet has 4 electoral votes and how Rhode Island could give us Geo Wallace as President. Then they gave some award to the electoral college.

they were genius!

Whatever vitamins the Bros. are taking, I want some.
