I announced a few days ago my purchase of a bottle of Ukrainian corn vodka, and my plans to try it out tonight.

Well, I apologize. The tasting is deferred until later this weekend. I had to finish off my bottle of Smirnoff Lemon. That’s done. Now it’s on to the drinking!

1. How does it compare to grappa? nt

3. Never tried it.

I’ve had Ouzo and retsina, under the best possible circumstances, too: with some delicious Greek food and in the company of a wonderful Greek family.

Never had grappa, though.

5. Damned near impossible to get in the US

Quite common all over Europe.

Not as bad as moonshine mezcal, not as good as Smirnoff rye vodka.
