stop trying to sell the flesh of your female employees.
was in a bar over the weekend. 3 ppl behind the bar, 2 pretty, scantily clad, young ladies and a very young male barback. 10 people on stools.
the ladies were huddled together like 2 puppies in a rain storm. i had to get loud to order.
the wrong kind of person coulda taken it wrong, and someone could get hurt. but bottom line i got shitty service. and as an older, single woman, alone, i am ALWAYS invisible in these sitches. at my age, i know longer fear this shit. you should be more worried about me decking a creep and getting blood on your floor, but still. we should be doubly visible.
how fast do these ladies turn over? i'm guessin mostly quickly.
if you are gonna let/ask your female employees to show some flesh, you best have a plan to deal w sexual harassment from customers. put them in your tshirt and jeans.
be at least that professional.
the part where the food runner put my fried pickles in between me and the drunk in the next stool who had been trying to pick me up for half an hour by then didnt help.

(29,465 posts)It was unpleasant, especially since the servers were laughing and chatting it up with all the tables around me. They forgot the vinegar for my fries (I asked for it when I ordered and had to ask twice more). They didn't offer me the soup of the day I heard being described to everyone else. They didn't bring me water when everyone else had it.
Then my fries were cold and I was afraid to say anything because I figured I would be described to everyone later as a "Karen".
Let me tell you, this Karen meme is vile and insidious and implies that women over 50 don't deserve the same treatment as everyone else.
I am sorry you had that experience. Restaurants need to do better.
