Write a limerick.

The only one I've written, from many years ago, in memory of my Harry.

A gray cat named Charley McNab
Took a trip to the Chesapeake by cab
He settled in Waldorf
And lived on a small wharf
And spent his days fishing for crab

Yours? I'm eager to read what you come up with!

She wanted some roses
But they turned up their noses
Now she lives in the forest

I never hope to see one
But I can tell you (don't be shocked)
I learned I used to be one

And then we must all remember
What they did to Roe
Is why they must go
Remember, November---"Roevember"!

And sit back and put up our feet,
Lets us try limericks,
And do it for kicks.
Which is why our old Lounge can't be beat.

Hickory dickory dock,
Two mice ran up her sock.
One stopped at the garter,
The other was smarter.

There once was a grifter named Oz
A scoundrel if ever there was
He used his best skills
To sell worthless pills
But skirted the edge of the laws.

So far, among all these clever limericks, you're in the lead.

This isn't a contest, but I'm ranking these in my head. I only like yours better so far because it slams that FUC -- that lying charlatan.

Isn't it interesting that some Republican candidates out-and-out lie in their campaigns? They must think they're lying with impunity (as if) as they surely believe TFG never lied. 🤥

There once was a girl from the O.C.
Who wanted to do more than mosey
So she said to her dad
Now you can be glad
'Cause I've joined the U.S. Air Force-y

A poet who wrote naught but haiku

wondered, "O, what the hell shall I do?

Abandoning brevity

might lead to great levity

for of limericks I haven't a clue."
