This was about 1962. He had a zillion harmonicas and he gave me a bunch of his old ones. That's how I first got into them.

Curiously, In "Song of the Turkey Buzzard," arguably his best-known poem, he urged his friends to "place my meat" before the vultures in a sky burial.
