Talk about high prices.......we bought our Thanksgiving dinner at our local grocery deli.......

we also bought dessert, one piece of pumpkin pie, and two slices of cheesecake from the bakery area. Our dinner was very good, and when I opened the container for the pumpkin piece of pie I see it’s 2.99!!!!!!!!!! FOR ONE PIECE OF PUMPKIN PIE $2.99!!!! I never really pay much attention to the total bill when shopping and I guess I really didn’t pay attention to the bakery total either. I just pay it. Then when I did see the price for one piece of pie, I guess it really hit me at how expensive it was.

I have not bought pie slices, but I have bought cake and cheesecake slices at the grocery store and that prices seems comparable, if a little lower. Buying by the slice is typically more expensive.

8. It might not cost that much for me to make my apple pie. A big one too.

My Thanksgiving dinner is delayed a couple weeks. I just had my right shoulder replaced six weeks ag and it's not quite up to making everything and handling a whole turkey.

10. Don't forget someone had to make the pie. Oven used electricity, etc.

That’s not all that bad really, I’ve seen cheesecake slices a dollar or two higher.

Getting a crappy piece of pie from a fast food restaurant runs about that so I would say that with the slightly higher level of quality, you got an okay deal.
