Lot creative scams out there, most are phishing or worse.

Closing without reading and deleting is probably best option.

A title wave of this happens around the end of the year due to open enrollment where you are permitted to switch and change your Medicare provider.

There is government Medicare and privatized Medicare - run by private insurance companies who seek to capture Medicare recipients away from the government Medicare plans.

In order for the private insurance carriers to Privatize Medicare they offer add ons,..

** $900.00 free groceries,
** free monthly toiletries purchases,
** Etc. Etc.

and coverage,..

** some free dental coverage,
** some free vision coverage,
** some free hearing aid coverage,
** some medical equipment coverage,
** etc. etc.

that are not offered under the government Medicare plans. These "free" add ons by the private insurance Medicare providers are to incentives Medicare clients to switch from the government provided Medicare and sign kn to the privatized Medicare.

Once the switch is made Medicare clients often find that their access to their preferred doctors are no longer available. That lab tests and medical procedures are no longer permitted because they are deemed ineffective or too costly. Same with medications - many prescriptions are not permitted to be filled because the cost exceeds their limits.

Then once you move from government provided Medicare to privatized Medicare the private Medicare providers make it very difficult to switch back or leave their plans.

This whole plan to Privatize Medicare with Medicare Advantage Plans is similar to what is happening with public school funding. They are allowing the public school funds to be portable by way of school vouchers. Then the public school funds can be moved to Christian schools to fund and finance these privatized Christian schools. The eventual result is so much funding leaves the public school system that the public school system is starved of operational funds. Thus forcing the public schools into bankruptcy. Then the only game in town is privatized Christian schools.

Same applies to the government provided Medicare. If a Medicare client moves from the government Medicare system into a privatized Medicare provider system - the government hands over Medicare funding to the privatized Medicare provider for now providing the health care services. If the privatized Medicare providers can induce enough people to make the switch out of the government provided Medicare system the private Medicare providers will eventually starve Medicare of working operational funding and bankrupt the government Medicare program. Once the privatized Medicare providers have captured the Medicare program and succeeded in shutting down government supplied Medicare coverage then pricing for future Medicare will sky rocket and services provided will plunge - all in the name of free market capitalism and profit for shareholders return on investments.

Medicare once privatized will become as fucked up as regular health insurance. Motivated by profit profit profit, executive and board of director ballooning salary increases and stockholder returns on investments.

I mean, we are not a single-party communist Cuba - where doctors get free education are paid minimally. We are a single-party capitalist America - where med schools cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and doctors have to score big just to break even in their first few years. The greatest nation on earth, and ordained by gawd himself. Envy of the world. Yes?

Private Medicare Advantage Plans
"Problems with Medicare Advantage are systemic and widespread," said Rep. Pramila Jayapal. "Not only do they too often deny care—they're ripping off taxpayers."

BRETT WILKINS
December 13, 2022

As yet another scandal involving Medicare Advantage made headlines this week, progressive U.S. lawmakers and advocates renewed calls to abolish the private health insurance program that a recent Senate report said is "running amok" with "fraudsters and scam artists."

"In reality, so-called 'Medicare Advantage' is neither Medicare nor an advantage."

In a new Nation article written with health insurance reform advocate Wendell Potter, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) contend that one of the most confusing things facing elders while choosing their Medicare plans "is a scheme by private insurance companies to prey on seniors and profit off of the Medicare brand, all in the name of padding their corporate profits and shareholder returns."

"The scheme is called Medicare Advantage. But in reality, so-called 'Medicare Advantage' is neither Medicare nor an advantage," wrote the lawmakers, who earlier this year introduced legislation that, if passed, would ban private insurance plans from using the Medicare name.

...the internet myth, earlier this year, about a 4th government stimulus, like the COVID years. The dollar amount was identical.
Looks like, when it failed to get traction, the disinformation crowd shifted to it being a social security thing. The fact that both myths were for $900 seems like more than mere coincidence.
