The villain’s house with the cantilever reminded me of Falling Water. It was inspired by that house, but didn’t really exist.

In the online community of Second Life, where one can use the editing tools to build just about anything, one user built an impressive area reproducing FLW's greatest buildings, Fallingwater among them. When Lloyd's estate heard about it, they made him delete it. I used to hang out there a lot. In a sense, I virtually "lived" in Fallingwater for several months.

The original owners, it's said, grew to hate it: the constant sound of the waterfalls drove them crazy.
