My brother had to work on a Sunday and was quite unhappy about it so every customer who asked him for help was greeted with And what is the petty-assed problem you called me out here for on a Sunday?
They say nobody is irreplaceable but he was close because of his unique skills.

Before I thought I posted, Oh my God, you are the customer that rushes through the door at closing time wanting a last minute gift and indignant that you are not happy to wait on her! Some times it is a man.

Now I'm a small business owner in New England who makes lots more $ with growing base because I'm great with customers.
When I'm in stores, I never call the manager on A-hole staff. I don't play and handle my business myself.
5 minutes with me and your bro would have given up retail forever. -- long overdue, I imagine.

(698 posts)In front of me at exhibitor events or in individual sales. I make them smile. Get to know them. So many repeat customers who know they're not just a fleeting transaction.
