From YouTube with all those Brit narrators.

* All my 75 years, I only knew: TY-gris (Euphrates). Now YouTube Brit says: TIGG-ris.

* Right now, Cyrano de Bergerac, I only knew SIRR-a-no: The Brit just said, sirr-RA-no.

17. We improved the language.

Cleaned up the spelling a bit by getting rid of the unnecessary "u" in several words. Established more consistent pronunciation patterns regarding which syllable gets accented. And we pronounce whole words instead of dropping syllables. Got rid of certain titles by eliminating the positions, like "duke," "duchess," "king," "queen," etc.
